Unique Asset IDs

Unique asset IDs are automatically generated and added to assets to aid users in communicating about, querying and managing assets. You can search for assets using the unique asset ID with the Search Results. Unique asset IDs are tied to assets and cannot be reused if the corresponding asset is deleted.

Unique asset IDs are visible in the following places:

• Asset detail pages next to the asset name

  

• Search results next to the asset name

  

• Search results previews

  

• Related assets on asset detail pages
